This sketch represents the importance of perspective and angle in film and digital media. Perspective can determine the way an audience views any piece of artwork and the emotions evoked by the piece. The angle of the film in the drawing shows two reactions in the same shot, creating tension and pulling the audience into the action. Perspective is universal, so it can be applied to practically any project or art form. It is essential to correctly portray the background graphics or location for a video game, 3D model, film, or other project we undertake in this class. Perspective will help me in IFDM by expanding my artistic base and knowledge of setting up and shooting film.

Design like the shape of the railing can be used as set or story elements in a film such as furniture or walkways. This kind of design and location can be added to a film to enhance the symbolism or meaningful qualities of a character's struggle. In this way design will further my exploration of media in class and in the IFDM program.
